Vision
A future where prevention reaches those who need it most.
Personalized cancer treatment has attracted more investment and attention due to its commercial value, while personalized cancer prevention, despite its potential public health value, remains less developed. FamCan strives to address this imbalance by advancing prevention models that are medically rational, socially equitable, and economically affordable.
Equitable Access to Cancer Prevention
FamCan engages in ongoing dialogue with policymakers, health authorities, and public health institutions to promote and implement evidence-based approaches. The aim is to shift the priorities and resources of the health system from a treatment-centered model to a prevention-centered one, where prevention, continuous monitoring, and early detection are prioritized as the most effective strategies for reducing the burden of cancer.

Our long-term goal is to help build a sustainable, equitable, and prevention-oriented model for cancer control in low- and middle-income health systems; a model that, by leveraging digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, multidisciplinary expertise, public health collaboration, and registry-based follow-up, improves survival, quality of life, human dignity, and informed decision-making.
